18hr Trip Report

We had our first 18hr trip this winter on Wednesday Dec 17th, we pulled away from the dock at 2am with fog and rainy conditions.  As we cleared the inlet we were met with a slight northeast wind and a 5-6ft swell. We intended to run about 50miles off but with weather conditions worsening the farther offshore we got it was clear we were not going to be able to fish the deeper wrecks. Most of the wrecks we fished were in the 25-40 mile range and caught a variety of seabass, bluefish, flounder and of course dogfish.  We did catch some seabass that approached 5lbs, bluefish up to 13lbs, and released flounders up to 24inches.  Although we weren't able to fish some of the deeper wrecks, we  still were able to put up a decent catch given the weather conditions.

The next scheduled 18hr trip will be for Saturday January 3rd, the cost will be $170 per person. This will be the only 18hr trip  in January, because we will be hauling the boat for annual maintence. Thanks to all that were able to make it, and I hope to see you on the next one...Remember these trips are by reservation only, for more information and reservations please call 410-458-8343

The boat is undergoing maintenance right now, hopefully we will be back and running late march early April. We will try and get a few 18hr seabass trips in before the offshore migration is over. After that it will be back to our regular summer schedule. Our January 3 trip was canceled due to the weather.
